Emily and Derek’s wedding day at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature was filled with one key thing that truly makes or breaks a wedding day, emotion. Wedding vendors like myself see it all the time, we arrive at weddings and the couple or family let their emotions get suppressed by the overall stresses of a wedding day. Coming from a wedding photographer this is truly the worst thing to do on a wedding day. Emotions play a huge role in the images and video that will be captured on a wedding day! Emily and Derek smiled, they cried, they laughed and they embraced every moment their wedding day gave them!

The Day begins at The Spring Hill Suites by Marriott Bradenton Downtown/Riverfront where Emily and Derek got ready. Normally hotel rooms tend to have horrible lighting and lots of distractions but in Emily’s hotel suite we were blessed. There stood a beautiful corner with three windows that offered up the best lighting for bridal prep portraits. Thankfully the amazing light contained throughout the day to The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature where Emily and Derek would host a gorgeous courtyard ceremony. This was my first time photographing a wedding at The Bishop Museum and I was blown away by the amazing architecture and beautiful paver stonework throughout the courtyard!

Once the wedding ceremony was complete Emily, Derek and I wandered around the local area capturing all their emotion. The weather was amazing and during the newly wed session we were gifted a AMAZING sunset!
